    I halved the recipe and made this for an anniversary dinner. It was delicious! I didn't make any substitutions and highly recommend others do the same. Creme fraiche may be mildly expensive but it's worth every penny! Also using fresh herbs are a must! This will definitely be on the menu often at my house.

    I did use dried chives and sour cream instead of creme freche... BUT these were the best potatoes I've ever made! It was an easy recipe to follow and it turned out wonderfully!

    The recipe is easy and so, so good. My husband wanted scalloped potatoes with cheese and I made this instead. He loved it, A keeper recipe. Easy and I will make this again and again.
