Had the in-laws over to visit and decided on a whim to go all out. Found this recipe and ran to the market. There is def a decent amount of prep involved. But it was well worth it. First word out of everyone's mouth was "hmmmmm" and the table was quiet until steaks were finished. Highly recommended. One quick tip for those on a time crunch: it's ok to put a cool butter mixture in the freezer for a few min to speed up the process.

The red wine butter has such a rich, complex flavor. Using port wine that is reduced, I thought it would be too sweet - but not at all! I love it. Next time actually, I will reduce the amount of butter so that the flavor of the red wine mixture will be more pronounced. I also used skit steak.. Because it's cheaper. :
