It was a breeze to make and even the very, VERY, picky eaters in my house loved it. I had to make 1 sub. I had no tomatoes so I used a small can of spag. sauce. I left out the bay leaves and the allspice since they also weren't in my pantry.

This was just ok. My husband didn't care for the Thyme and it did almost seem bland. You would think with all the spices I wouldn't be. We added a little more salt. Had it for dinner. Not inedible just not great. Probably won't make it again.

This was the worst stew I have ever made. The spices were weird and it just had no flavor. Don't waste your time on this one.

Pretty much a flop. Didn't look anything like the yummy looking picture. Pork turned out tender and easily shreddable. Broth was pasty and had an unpleasant appearance. Overall taste was also unappealing. Find something else to do with your cut of pork.

This recipe was pretty good with a few tweaks. I left out the allspice because it seemed like it didn't fit well with the other ingredients. Next time I will at least triple the veggies. I doubled them for this batch and it still wasn't enough.

I don't often find a meal unedible. This was. The spice combination was bad and cooking the vegetables for 8 hours made them tasteless and mushy.

This stew was amazing with a few changes. I used a combo of homemade chicken and turkey stock instead of water, since the other reviews complained of lack of flavor. I doubled the garlic and added some McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning, a favorite thank to Rachel Ray. I used leftover pork loin and sausage, and threw a couple pieces of bacon in while cooking. It turned out perfect and was a great use of leftovers. Will definitely make this again!

Great recipe. I reduced the thyme (as I am not a fan of thyme and the recipe didn't disappoint. We will be making this again.
