These brownies were delicious. But to save time i just used a boxed brownie mix. I also used mini marshmallows which made them a lot easier to cut as well as made them more pleasing to the eye (they are a little sloppy looking once served or if you need to take them somewhere. Overall though it's a great idea and tastes delicious, be careful though, as they are definitely rich. As a college student these were simple and easy to make with a few modifications, but they are a must try recipe. I will definitely be making these again.

Although these tasted good, in an email from food network they were shown as the perfect brownies to bake with the perfect brownie pan (an "edge" pan which I already owned. I proceeded to modify it as necessary to use with the edge pan, lining it with foil and everything as directed. Although they tasted fabulous, they looked like a mess of sticky glob once they were removed from the edge pan. I, of course was planning on taking them somewhere.....my husband howled with laughter and asked, "you aren't taking THOSE are you?" I just started over and baked regular ones.
To make a long story short, DON'T try to use an edge pan if you want to make these brownies. Don't plan on taking them to a party. Just make them, forget the sloppy look and enjoy the decadent flavor.

Made these today, taste really good. Since some of the previous reviews stated the brownie portion was alittle blah, I added a few semi-sweet chocolate chunks to the brownie mix. Overall this was a good brownie!

I basically decided 90min before I had to go to my friend's party to bring these. So after reading a couple pages of reviews this is what I did. . I melted 7 tablespoons of butter. I used some of that to butter the foil and the rest for the crust. I baked the crust for 16 minutes. I used Ghiradelli Chocolate Supreme Brownie Mix. I baked for 40 minutes.During this time I heated 1/8 cup of cream and melted a heaping 1/4 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips (bittersweet would also work and made a ganache. When I took out the brownies the center was still a little liquidy and the toothpick did NOT come out clean. I cut the brownies in the pan wiping off the knife with each stroke. I drizzled the ganache all over. (i had some left over use your best judgement on how much ganache you want I put mini marshmallows all over the top and put it back in the oven for 3 minutes. Then I turned it on broil and watched closely for the browning. It happened quickly. I immediately brought it to my friends house. (travel time approx 35 min in air conditioned car when i got there i separated the brownies and put them on a plate. I would say I ate them 2hrs later. They were delicious. people were having seconds. I am tempted to make another batch tomorrow. Next time I want to try the brownie recipe but the mix was a really great short cut. The crust was soo deliciously buttery.

I'm a fourteen year old and made these for me and my mom. I thought they were pretty good but a little too sweet. Will make them again though. They were a big hit!

The title above is TOTALLY true.
I'm a teenager and I was making this all by myself (with the occasional help of my little sister.
When I put the marshmallows on top (I cut them in half instead of using the whole thing, I placed it into the oven to broil.
LITERALLY one second later, it caught on fire.
    I'm not kidding.
I grabbed my dad who was outside, grilling, and I was like, "DAD, FIRE!!! FIRE FIRE FIRE!!"
And my mom ran and opened up the stove door, and the flames started to go over the stove.
    Finally,
it stopped (before we got to extinguish it ourselves.
I almost cried because I had spent 2 hours of my afternoon making it.
But I just scraped off the burnt part, and it revealed a gooey marshmallow-y part to it.
My family LOVED it (despite the oven almost catching on fire part.
So next time, I will just leave the marshmallows on top, without broiling it or anything...Kind of like a smore, you just leave it.
I hope that helped (so none of you catch your stove on fire...
But it was probably the best dessert I've ever made, and I'm proud of it (=

Would someone explain to me how you cut toasted marshmallows!? I don't know how they made that picture so perfect but it's impossible as far as I'm concerned! The dessert itself is delish...just like the old-fashioned s'mores. But like I said, impossible to cut!

These brownies are definetly delicious! The crust might just be the best part though...it is sweet, crunchy, and something that would be a great base for other deserts. Be aware that the brownies are EXTREMELY rich, so you might not be able to eat more than one at a time.
All in all, just make sure you follow the directions closely. The first time I made the crust I put a tablespoon less of butter and it burned. When I put the right amount of butter (plus a little more the crust turned out perfect.
    Bon appetit!

I didn't melt the butter for the graham cracker crust, I think it came out perfect. However I did miss a step in the process for the brownies so they came out a little off, but I know that was my fault. Still good though. Next time I think I will use mini marshmallows.

I made these today to take up to my husband's firestation. Everyone said how wonderful they were, & there were none leftover. I left mine in about 57 minutes. I had all the ingredients on hand, except I had miniature marshmallows, which I think turned out better because I didn't have a problem w/ them going over the sides like others. I did cut them right away, & had no problems w/ them being too messy. You could def. use brownie mix, but I it's worth it to make them.
