Directions

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 (1-pound) bag frozen edamame, in the pod (green soy beans)

Heat the salt, chili powder, and pepper flakes in a small dry skillet over medium heat, stirring until hot and aromatic, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and crumble in the oregano.

Boil the edamame pods in salted water until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain in a colander and pat dry. Toss the edamame pods with the chili-salt and serve warm.

    Delicious and addicting!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This had great flavor - I used only 1 1/2 tsp of salt added a little garlic powder and just a dash of oil to make it stick. ... If I hadn't let them dry completely the spice may have stuck better without needing the oil. My husband never likes edamame at resaurants but absolutely loved these! Will definitely make again!Read more

a great different way to eat edamame. i used less chili powder and chili pepper and added garlic powder. also added a... little oil to help the spices adhere to the pods.Read more
