All in all very good. It was my first time actualy searing steak and it was delicious. Who would have thought that such a simple recipe could be so good? The only problem I did come across was that the onions needed a little more time to cook, however that is my prefrence.

I followed all the directions except one, I did not add the butter at the end....we are trying to cut down on fats.I added a little more wine, and still reduced it, and it was delicious.

    very easy, very tasty
I rarely cook steaks indoors but San Diego actually has weather this winter. After drizzling sauce over steaks I added a little more wine to pan, lots of spinach and cooked that up for a great veggie (if you know me you know I rarely pair those words.

I use more wine, and concentrate by boiling it prior to adding it to the pan. Makes for a richer, more satisfying sauce. I sometimes add some sauteed mushrooms to the sauce. This rsauce can be used to class up hamburgers as well

I have always had trouble making steak when I didnt use thed the grill, and finally, I found this recipe. The steaks turned out delicious! The recipe and instructions were simple, and the sauce was minimal and excellent. The steaks were juicy and tender. I will definitely make this again. Thank you!

I am a recent subscriber to Food Network Magazine (starting with Nov 09 and this recipe blew me away! It is extremely simple to produce, but tastes like cuisine from a fabulous restaurant. This is a staple on my list of favorite meals to cook.

This recipe is so easy and delicious. I highly recommend it. I served it with steamed asparagus. It was a great pairing. Also, I used a bottled Merlot rather than boxed.
