This salad was awesome! Loved the dressing...I had quite a bit left over even with the salad being well dressed. Left out the beans, but followed the recipe to a tee and Ioved it. Had it for lunch with a few girlfriends and they really enjoyed it too. Will be sure to use this one again, it was great!

This recipe is one of my favorites for summer. Fabulous with grilled meats. The dressing alone is a keeper!!

One of the best salads I've eaten in a long time! It is definitely versatile. I put avocado and leftover chicken in it the next night for a main course salad. Even chopped bacon would be great! I think the dressing is the best part with the fresh garlic and buttermilk, everyone raved! A definite keeper!

I have made this recipe at least 5 times now! Its a good base for a chopped salad, and the addition of the potatoes makes it work as a main dish. My mom will add grilled chicken to top it, or a can of chickpeas, but I think its fine the way it is. I am in love with the ranch dressing - often times I will mix up the herbs, making it with cilantro or dill has been my favorite instead of parsley. I serve the dressing totally on the side, I find that the greens wilt if dressed. This salad part is super easy, and is adaptable based on what you have in the kitchen. I used mung bean sprouts instead of other sprouts and the taste wasn't as strong. I normally use grilled corn (grilled in the husk and it adds a delicious flavor to the corn that I don't get from blanching. If you use colorful fingerling potatoes

Just made this and while the salad is very good and beautiful to look at, I will use another dressing next time. If i made this dressing again, I would definitely leave out the 1 tsp. of vinegar as the vinegar taste is way too strong.

I actually leave out the lettuce (need to reduce the dressing if doing this and serve this as more of a side dish. I've also used Green Goddess dressing instead of ranch and it was wonderful.
To the person who rated 1 star because "I don't like radish": the recipe DOESN'T HAVE radish!! Did you even read it? My pet peeve is people who rate these recipes who haven't even made and tried them (or obviously, sometimes, even READ them.

Although the prep work did take awhile, this salad was delicious! My family loved it. I actually used 3 ears of corn instead of 2, and made the Ranch Dressing from the milk recipe package mix instead of the homemade as given in the recipe.
