This was just ok. I'm all about fruity drinks, but this wasn't for me. I didn't like the consistency of it, and the strong flavors I was expecting just didn't come through. I made this for a barbecue, and only one of my girlfriends enjoyed it.

The flavor was okay, but the texture was terrible. It wasn't very slushy, despite freezing the watermelon for 30 minutes.

yuk! don't make the same mistake.
I'll need to try this again with Coconut juice which is much more like watery apple juice than milk.
Milk + lemon + watermelon= not a good situation!

The recipe sounded good but it was not. The watermelon needed to freeze much longer. It did not have a good refreshing taste..almost a bad after taste. It was so runny, not slushy at all. I dumped half added ice and more coconut juice but it did not help. It went down the drain and I made margaritas instead which was a much better choice.

Seemed like it was missing something. I think the consistancy was too watery.

Sorry, I agree that this needs work. I did not like the flavor of this drink even though I love watermelon. It was too sweet and the texture was awful. It was too runny to be a daquiri or smoothie, and too thick to be considered a martini type drink. It was somewhere in between and left much to be desired.
I'm not sure where the a reviewer below found this recipe required soy milk - it called for coconut milk. When one changes a recipe so drastically, it's technically not the same recipe.

Great foundation for a drink, but the recipe needs a little work. The watermelon needs to freeze for longer than 30 minutes to keep the drinks cool and I challenge anyone to fit that whole recipe into an average blender. The flavor was a little bland so I added lemon juice and did it in batches.

I did this for a pool party, and it was a huge hit because it's in single servings that everyone can grab and eat so easily. I modified it, though, by using regular milk instead of soy milk (just a personal preference, and for the fruit I did strawberries and blueberries to make it a red, white, and blue 4th of July treat. Soooo good.
