    perfect! my fiance loved them! I only used 1 sweet potato and I substituted carrot for parsnip because thats what I had on hand. I added the flour as I mixed in 1 egg until it was a the consistency I wanted. so easy!

    The latkes went over very well at my friend's Hanukkah party. I think the mix could have used a little more eggs, as I had trouble keeping them together during the frying. I am not a fan of chinese five spice so the applesauce was not my favorite, but everyone else loved the combination.

    These are the best latkes I've ever had. Last year I made these and the traditional kind. Same this year. This year, they were the first to go at the family party.
