Grandma used to bake canned sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top and I loved them. I made this last year and now it is part of my Thanksgiving meal. It's not too sweet but has lots of flavor. People who like sweet potatoes go back for seconds. I thought about baking marshmallows on top, but personally, I prefer the pecans for a nutty warm flavor.

I had to combine this recipe with others to come up with new ones that tasted better. A better way is don't put the eggs in the recipe.

I love this because I can make it more suitable for diabetics, but that doesn't mean I don't add 2-3T of bourbon!

Our son-in-law made this for our Easter this year. We're not normally sweet potato eaters, but were surprised at how good this was! We'd be happy to have him make this for future dinners, too!

I made this casserole for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The whole family loved it. It was a nice change from the same old sweet potatoes that we usually have.
Thank you food network for all the great recipes and ideas.
