I had the same problem jme56. I guess it should have said to stir. I also didn't have any juice to mix. I will try again.

I loved this! I used red grapes because that's what I had. I followed the cooking directions exactly and had no problem with burning. I used a cast iron skillet and stirred it several times during the 25 min

This dish paired great with a cheese spread and crackers. I used pecans instead of walnuts b/c that's what I had in the house and it was really good. This is definitely going to be a staple for my cheese platters from now on.

This was a hit at our Sunday school Christmas party where I served it with a choice of Bleu and Brie cheese. This morning, it was my breakfast. A slice of Italian bread, toasted just until it was barely turning brown. I put a couple of slices of Brie on it and put it back in the toaster oven until cheese melted. Then I put the grapes on top, returned it to the toaster until they were warmed. There was about a 2-week period between the party and this morning's breakfast, so yes, it can be made well ahead of time. Also, while it is roasting, stir often with increasing frequency as it cooks. I had no problem with it burning, but I kept an eye on it and stirred when the walnuts that were exposed on the surface darkened.

Can this be made ahead of time? Should it be served warm, room temperature or cold?

Great side dish. We served it with fontina cheese which was a great compliment to the spread. For those that had problems with it burning -- try it at 400 degrees and check it every 10 minutes.

I followed the directions provided, and everything burnt. I even "roasted" the grapes for less than the 25 minutes the directions said to. Not sure if the timing is wrong, or the temperature of the oven is.

I think this is an excellent appetizer and great with cheese.
