Since i prefer vegan, I made the dish without the sausage and used evoo instead of butter. I added more fresh thyme, extra shitake and less broth.

This rice is delicious, moist, and smells like Thanksgiving! The recipe is just fine as written, but don't be afraid to add your own special touches. It's a big recipe and can take additions - go ahead and try it. Always a crowd pleaser, and super for leftovers.

I made this last night, to see if it was Thanksgiving worthy. It is. Not alot of work, just alot of steps. The rice came out moist. I think I would cut down on the Broth before my final step in baking. Everyone loved it, so its going to make it to the Thanksgiving Table :

The recipe was pretty good. Maybe it lacked a little cause I used dried herbs instead of fresh. Also, I added some craisins at the last minute to add a little bit of flavor and that seems to help quite a bit.

This recipie was excellent, but i would definitely not add any extra salt next time. Between the pork sausage and the broth, there is enough salt already.

I tired this recipe this year for Thanksgiving for something other than traditional stuffing mashed potatoes...It was a huge hit! Everyone had seconds.

I have made this Thanksgiving Wild Rice for the past 4 years now and it is definitely a crowd pleaser. It takes a little bit of work but it is worth every effort.

took this to thanksgiving & almost no one tasted this - it doesn't look very appealing - and those who did try it definitely didn't go back for 2nds and had nothing to say about it. i kept trying it and trying it - tried it the next day and the next, but it never tasted the least bit exciting. too herby. will not make again.
