You can find ladyfingers in the Italian section at most grocery stores. The trick is to dip them in and out very quickly. If you leave them in, they will get too soggy. Great recipe.

Made this with my sister, definitely easy and delicious; a big hit with friends. I agree with meganb52 with sprinkling the coffee mixture over the lady fingers...otherwise the ladyfingers will get really really soggy.

Pretty tasty, I used instant coffee and made it strong instead of espresso. It worked better for me to spoon/sprinkle the coffee mixture over the lady fingers so they don't get so ridiculously soggy. Otherwise, a pretty darn good substitute for tiramisu in a pinch! It was SUPER easy to whip up and assemble.

This was great for a very simple version of Tiramisu! We added in a little bit of milk & cocoa with the mascarpone for a smoother chocolate filling.
