I took some of the other reviewer's advice and did a mix of chile powder and cumin and only half of the lime juice. And instead of using a fresh tomato, I used Muir Glen's fire-roasted diced tomatoes. Topped it with fresh avocado and tortilla strips (not on bottom as suggested. Really, really good! I will definitely be making it again.

This was so delicious! If you like lime and cilantro and can handle a little heat, you will love this soup! I was a little short on chicken broth & used white wine to make up the difference. I also used Mexicorn and added a little chopped jalapeno that was left over from the guacamole I made as an appetizer. I will definitely make this recipe again!

Pretty good. I agree with other reviewers that the Tbsp of chili powder is a little too much. I would swap some of it out with cumin. It is super easy to make and works well in a crock pot. It will being showing up on our menu again (with a few tweaks, but overall very tasty.

Great for how healthy it is. To be hardier, add more chicken and corn. Spinach might be good too.

delish. good grief to the people complaining about this and that. this recipe is listed under HEALTHY, it's not going to be a heavy, thick soup! "pureed texture"? what the heck is she talking about? must not have read the recipe right or over cooked the veggies. some people need to look over the recipes before cooking. if you already know you aren't a fan of chili powder or chipolte, then adjust to your liking! my family, friends and neighbors LOVE this!!

My family loves this recipe and I make it often. Yes, it's tangy from the lime juice but we have no complaints. Some don't like cilantro so simply leave it off. Use fresh corn for good texture. Instead of chips, I oven bake tortillas brushed with some oil and cut into strips.

I love this recipe for the flavor, but next time I make it, I will add a can of mexi-corn and use even more chicken. My family loved the flavor, but the pureed texture was a bit disturbing. We still have all our teeth and do not mind chewing.

I simply do not understand all of the good reviews on this recipe. It was watery and all I could taste was the lime juice and cilantro. Flavor was just not good in general. If you want to make it I would suggest using way less lime and cilantro, add some cumin, and a little less chicken broth, but you are better off finding a different recipe. I am very disappointed with food network because they usually have great recipes!! I would probably only rate this a half a star if not less. I honestly will never make this again.

Followed recipe to the letter and we thought this was better than any tortilla soup we have eaten in restaurants.
