The soup was meh, but the grilled cheese was amazing! My new "go to" grilled cheese! Ina's creamy tomato soup is much better, especially when paired with this sandwich.

Made the soup only or I'd have given it one star..grilled cheese is probably excellent. The soup, however, was a big miss. Looks pretty but it didn't taste like tomato soup should taste and the texture was undesirable. To fix it I made your basic Roux with butter and flour, some whole milk until I had a thick rich sauce and than added it in. Still not great but that made it edible.

I haven't made the soup, but the grilled cheese is to die for! Wonderful combination of cheeses!

I made the soup and paired it with a rustic wheat bread. The sandwich would be far too many calories and I am monitoring my intake.

I think the celery added too much water to the soup over all. I had to add roasted pepper, skim milk and Hungarian Paprika to make it edible.
