You need to post a different picture. That one looks like a twice baked pickle!

This was my first time making twice baked potatos, and my husband loved them!! I made them for our christmas dinner, and now he wants them for new years! I didnt have the nutmeg, and they were still tasty.

Amazing recipe my boyfriend had never had twice baked potatoes before and loved these!!! I highly recommend this recipe for any occasion. My only suggestion would be to add bacon in the mixture that you restuff the potatoes with and serve alittle on top!!!

to repddp_8584618 I, and many others use this recipes for a basic guideline. Mostly, time and temp. Then we're off on our own doing whatever we want. That is, to many of us, what a recipe is, a basic guideline a place to start.

But I also take issue, respectfully of course, with boring and basic comment. Try this: choose an ingredient that isn't boring or basic. Whatever that might be; truffle oil (338 recipes, Jerusalem artichokes (16, balsamic vinegar (1404, oyster sauce (433, enoki mushrooms (37 or whatever. If the only thing you ever get as a result of a search is boring and basic, maybe it's because of your search parameters.

I agree with the reviewer that recommended flavoring them just like you do your own mashed potatoes or even your favorite baked potato topping.

This is a great crowd filling dish. I used large potatoes the first time, but for a gathering I used smaller russet potatoes.

You can stick bacon, veggies, cheese, whatever you like in there and make a meal.

Why do I find most of FNK (Food Network Kitchens recipes to be very plain and basic? I expect more from FNK, challenge the reader/viewer to cooking excellence by going the extra step!

I love this recipe! So easy and so yummy. The perfect combination!

A word of warning: make sure the potatoes are completely dry before starting.. I found out the hard way that this is an issue. If they're still wet, try to add extra time to the baking or just make sure they're completely soft before scooping out the insides.
