I tweaked it a little, I used a raspberry walnut cranberry salad topping instead of just walnuts. I used yogurt with cherries on the bottom but only the yogurt not the cherries. I substituted grapes for raisins. Omitted parsley, lemon zest and lettuce. I also doubled the "sauce" ingredients. So yummy!

I made this recipe times 4 for a low-fat themed work luncheon. People loved it. I added grape halves and left out the parsley. The lemon zest was a little strong, but some people liked that. I only put a small amount of pepper, that may have cut some of the lemon taste. All in all, everyone was very happy with it. I mixed the wet ingredients except lemon juice ahead of time and cut the fruit except the apples into another container. At work I cut up the apples and sprinkled with lemon juice, then mixed with the sauce and other fruit. It was easy.

This salad is amazing - I couldn't stop eating it! I didn't have all the ingredients (raisins & walnuts but I did use another chopped up nut and I am sure you could use any nuts in this recipe because its the dressing that truly makes this salad kick-butt! I did mess up a bit & didn't dry off the lettuce (which I actually used arugula & baby romaine mixed which made the dressing probably a lot more liquidy than I wanted...

We loved this recipe! The flavors are perfectly combined together. The lemon zest truly gives it great touch! I did add a bit of craisins along with the golden raisins. I will definitely make it again soon.

Love the lower fat version - not so much mayo. Will try the greek yogurt next time. Brought to salad club at work - they loved it!

well, I'll start by saying I did change it up a little bit, I used about a cup of greek yogurt, because it's a little bit thicker, and its a little bit more tangy. I didn't have any golden raisin's but i used a smaller amount of dark raisin's in it, tasted fine. My only complaint, is it was a little too sugary sweet for me. Doesn't taste like a salad.... more like a dessert. I like my waldorf to have more of a savory taste. So, I took the advice of another poster, and added a little diced onion THAT'S THE TICKET!
I wonder, what it would taste like if one would cut back on yogurt and added just a little blue cheese? Might be worth trying on the side?

Sometimes I chop the lettuce and make a little nest for the apple salad so it is easier to eat.

This was a keeper, but I didn't have raisins, lemon, or parsley, but added 1/4 of an onion and grapes, wonderful! Definitely not disappointed in this one! Love the yogurt better than what I used to do before! Thanks for the great recipes!

I have used this for many occasions: baby shower, easter, graduation party, pot luck etc. Every woman who tries it LOVES it. Guys say it's okay. Nice and light, tasty, and satisfying. I use Greek yogurt and everything else per the recipe. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
