Non-fat yogurt? Lite mayonnaise? Get real... and use real food instead of processed nutritional substances. The other combination of ingredients seem reasonable, but next time, I'll make my own mayonnaise from scratch and use dried cranberries instead of golden raisins.

This is the kick bu** waldorf salad recipe of the century. It is easy to double up on the apples and celery if you have more people to feed. The dressing goes a long way. Make sure you roast the walnuts. It gives them a wonderful richness.

In keeping with our New Year's resolution to eat more healthy foods, I decided to try this salad in place of our usual Waldorf. We were very pleased with the results. I made it as indicated except that I didn't have any parsley (which my husband doesn't really like anyway. We all thought the salad was delicious - light and refreshing. I don't think I'll ever go back to the less healthy version.

i really liked this salad, its something a little more fancy than just the regular greens, but be sure to go easy on the parsley, i'd say one tablespoon, rather than two, would do just fine.

On May 13,2007 we had a picnic for Mother's Day. One of my mom's favorite dishes is Waldorf Salad. This was my first attempt and it was a big hit!! My mom said that it tasted just like when she was a child and her grandmother would make it on special occasions.
