I made these cookies for a party last night and everybody loved them so much that they took the leftovers home for their spouses. And everybody wanted the recipe!
These are great cookies, not too sweet and heavy. Easy to make, you'll love them. Yummy!!!

These cookies have a bittersweet chocolate taste that is great for chocolate lovers... I substituted cream cheese frosting for the marshmellow. Very yummy!

These look just like the picture and are ok but to me they seem sort of bitter. You can taste the cocoa powder in there a lot...
I do not recommend them

These took a bit of time and tasted good and chocolatey, my first concern was the puffiness of the cookies-- how did everyone get them to swell up and look so pretty!? I mean, they appeared like they should (two chocolate cookies with a soft marshmallow center just without the puffy cookie factor. Also, this recipe made 12 3" diameter pies with a heaping tbl. of batter. Last, the batter formed pools of butter around the edge of the bowl while I was waiting for the first batch to bake... Is this normal?

The cookies were delicious, but when you baked the marshmellows they developed a crust which made them hard to "stick" to the top cookie. I even tried to cut the marshmellow in half hoping that the sticky side would help to hold it together, but it did not!
Won't make these again. Sorry

I just finished baking these and they turned out great. The cookie is the consistency of a fudge brownie, which I like. I used a tablespoon as a guide to measure out the cookies and I was able to get 3 1/2 doz. cookies out of this recipe. Also, I used the marshmallow cream for the filling to save time. I did learn however, that you only need to use a small amount of the marshmallow cream because it will warm and spread on it own. I'm taking these cookies to a bake sale tomorrow and can't wait to hear the reviews.

Super easy and delicious! High altitude adjustment not necessary although mine took two minutes longer to bake at 4500 ft.

I am from Massachusetts and grew up with Whoopee Pies (they are a New England specialty. To my surprise, this is, far and away, the best recipe I have found. Two changes I made, however: I baked them for 7 minutes and used half of a marshmallow. They held their shape better.

This is an excellent recipe! My whole family LOVES it. However, the above recipe doesn't make as many as it says it should.
