These were easy to make and tasted great also. Maybe stored for quite a while if necessary in fridge.

These cookies are delicious and I make them all the time. Intead of the two different types of chocolate chips I use a half a bag of milk chocolate chips and they are delicious!

But I prefer the softer, more traditional cookie and icing. The cookies are nice and fudgey, and would be great by themselves. My family liked other whoopie pies I've made more than these.

I have tried MANY whoopie pie recipes including Martha's. This recipe hands down is the BEST. I have thrown out my other recipes. My friends and family LOVED these and they were easy to make. With three different chocolates how could it be bad. Will make again and again. I wish the recipe would come up in the search under Whoopie Pie but it doesn't. EXCELLENT!

My husband loved these cookies, the chocolate cookies are brownie like with marshmallow in between. Works best if you use a small ice cream scoop to make cookies uniform in size.

These are great cookies! But I found that the top half of the cookies suffered from not being in the oven as long as the bottom halves. Next time, I will cook the tops for as long as the bottoms. Otherwise, these were a hit!!!

I did not know about the whole marshmallow thing...but oh are these good. The chocolate cookies are almost like brownies. I used very good chocolate (2 oz 85% cocoa & 4 oz 65% cocoa; did not use unsweetened as the recipe called for and cocoa powder (Droste and I'm sure that contributed for its great taste.
Great fun to make with my 4 year old daugther.

These were fabulous -- my husband, who doesn't like sweets had this review: "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm." The cookies were delicious on their own, but the marshmallows added that little extra "wow" factor. Also they are incredibly easy so even if you're not a baker, they won't take you long. My only advice would be to make sure you don't use marshmallows that are too big. I splurged on the big homemade artisan marshmallows and they turned into a bit of a gooey mess -- next time I will cut them in half. Definitely a keeper recipe (and moves pretty quickly at a bake sale, too.
