I confess I used a box cake for the cupcakes, not quite the same but quicker! But used the frosting and decorating ideas! The cake as a hat was a bit too rough so I used a Hersheys kiss for that!. I was able to stretch the frosting by not cutting out the inside so I could frost 24 cupcakes! The frosting was delicious!

I made these cupcakes for the first time last year for Halloween. They were a hit. They are so delicious that my family keeps asking me to make them. I leave out the Halloween decorations and keep them as chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. I'm making a batch today.

The frosting is delicious. For a simple recipe make brownie's from a box mix and then put this frosting on them and they'll be a hit.

Dam, old comment deleted itself somehow...

    Anyway, try with nutella instead!
Get back to me with your outcomes please and especially anyone who has tried with nutella like I have before. :

I followed directions just as written. Cupcakes are tasty but a bit dry. Managed to cut out the tops for hats ok. Was lucky to find chocolate wafers for the hat (Nabisco In the the ice cream topping section at Publix. The icing came out heavy and greasy. Consistency more like a cheese ball. Too much PB? Needed more food coloring too to get the green color. Not worth the effort. I won't make these cupcakes again.
