I had fun making these. I had no problems with the dough or the cookies crumbling. I followed the recipe exactly. I will make these again. I added the chocolate too.

although this is a cute idea for a christmas cookie, the dough was extremely sticky and very difficult to work with. chilling the dough did kind of help with the shaping, but it didn't help that much because the dough quickly came back to room temp. after baking, the cookies were so-so, although i did add peppermint extract and it added a good burst of flavor. i don't think i'm that bad of a cook/baker, but i did have a rough time w/ this recipe. maybe it was a bad day? anyways, if you're up for a sticky challenge, this is the recipe for you.

I have this recipe from a friends mom and was surprised to find the exact one here online. I can attest they are moist, delicious and perfect for the Holidays in contrast to all the round cookies out there.

This cookie taste good if you like butter cookies. You have to work with the dough a little to get it where you can work with it. Add a little more flour and let dry out some. Have fun! I place the sprinkles on before baking they seem to stick better. Great family Fun!

The dough was way to soft. I added more flour and chilled the dough so I could roll it. Not really sweet, which was okay, but there wasn't enough mint flavor. I would exchange the almond flavoring for peppermint if I use the recipe again. I also used a mini chopper on the candy, it melted and stuck better than I thought it would.

Cute idea, but the dough was too soft, it didn't roll well at all and was just falling apart. And it wasn't very sweet after it baked. A regular sugar cookie recipe may work better. And it may work better to sprinkle the sugar and peppermint either before or during baking as it didn't stick very well even though we sprinkled it on immediately after taking out of the oven.
