Excellent cookie - I added an extra 2 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. almond extract - they rolled out great and tasted like a sugar cookie should. These did not need to be refrigerated which was great as I made them right away. I used a KitchenAid mixer and will make these again.

These cookies are excellent. I was looking for a recipe that didn't have to be refrigerated before rolling. I added extra vanilla as mentioned and frosted with my own recipe. Can not figure out why others did not like this it is a keeper for any cutout cookie.

This recipe is missing salt. I added 1/2 tsp salt to mine (I used unsalted butter. The salt helps with flavoring and producing a firmer dough. Even with salted butter though, you'll probably need to add a little salt. I love these cookies. They taste great and were quick to make.

The cookies actually taste great... however, the dough was too dry so I added another 1/2 stick of butter and the dough rolled out fine.

I think anyone who gives this a bad rating just did it wrong, I've made it numerous times and everyone always loved them, including my picky two year old. I never had to add anything extra.

    DO NOT USE

This is an awful recipe. It didn't work at all! The mixture was soooo dry! We had to change the recipe a lot! We added a bunch of milk and vanilla, just to make it so it wasn't so dry! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!
