They taste eh, ok. I followed the directions completely, scared to death because I'm not a great baker...I usually burn them. I mixed up the dough and it was all crumbly like cornmeal. I ended up adding water to get the consistency right to make 'dough'. I refrigerated it to for about a 45 minutes. It was impossible to roll unless I cake it with flour. Luckily my daughter is only 2 and a half and she enjoyed being hands on & doesn't know the real process. We had to make a ball and mash each one by hand just to put the cookie cutter in so they are thicker than they should be. They taste OK. I think I should've used lemon instead of vanilla flavoring. They're kinda bland. But, at least I didn't burn them like usual.

This recipe was terrible! It was a waste of money and time! Dough was too stiff and dry! Had to throw dough away!

loved this recipe!! this cookie plumps up and stays white and gorgeous when baked. just like a sugar cookie should. add a few drops of milk at a time, if batter is too stiff. This is my GO TO cookie recipe!!!

For those of you out there who are like " should I try it?" YES YOU SHOULD! The cookies are amazing! I've never had a better one! Just make sure to follow the directions exactly and you are good to go. But I recommend using 2 extra large eggs instead of just large. Great great great recipe I will make for years to come!

This is the best recipe ever! I didnt read the reviews until after making the cookies..Mine were not dry at all, but I did use 2 extra large eggs instead of large..maybe that helped the dryness! I love the cookies! Thanks :

Very dry recipe... One person added extra: 2 tbs of butter and 1 tsp of almond extract...I took the suggestion and it was still too dry so I added a tbs of whole milk to the batter and the consistency perfect... However the cookies do not brown and are hard when baked... BUT the taste is out of this world! Just like sugar cookies are supposed to taste... Thanks for the recipe...it will be an added favorite to my collection :-

Glad I didn't read the reviews until after making this recipe. Followed measurements and creamed wet ingredients with sugar in kitchenaid and had no problem with the dough. It was great to not have to refrigerate the dough since I didn't have time. The cookies baked nicely and have a mild sweetness...which is perfect when adding icing. Even made them thinner than recommended and had no problem with them getting too hard like others complained of. I didn't follow the icing recipe (who does?. Just mix powered sugar and milk until it's the consistency you like. Some people like it runnier, some thicker. My extremely picky husband ate like half the batch the same day and said they were the best Cut-outs he's ever had.

This recipe though easy to follow, the "dough" was to dry and crumbly. :(

This recipe is downright awful. Super crumbly and super floury. I couldnt even get them to be close enough to the right consistency to get the "dough" out of the bowl. Not sure how these worked for anyone at all as I followed the recipe to a T. Don't waste your time, or your flour, with this one.

This recipe was way to dry and I could not get the dough to form. I had to add 2 more eggs and 1/2 stick of butter to get it to the right consistancy.
