I've been making this recipe for years!! My whole family enjoys the taste ane the aroma that comes from the stew. When it says chopped green peppers, I've always assumed that it meant green chiles which gives it great flavor. I've also added ground cumin to the list of spices as well. SO GOOD!

I had enough ingredients around the house to make it and not even need to go to the store. I liked the flavor and so did my kids. I thought that it is as good as any stew I have eaten. Give it a try!
