This is one great tasting pie. I also cut down on the amount of bourbon be 2 tablespoons. I made it once and now there are always requests for it at every family get together.

The pie had a great flavor. I added all three table spoons of the bourbon and did not notice a strong taste. The filling is great. I would possibly substitute chopped pecans verses halves. The crust was really good. I tried the vineger and it had a great taste. I was told that you could use lard verses crisco. I think that I will try it next time to see if the crust comes out with a different texture.

This pecan pie is one of my favorites, hold off on 2 tablespoons of bourbon though. I only used 1 tablespoon, much better, otherwise the bourbon is too strong for the pie. Enjoy this is a good one!

I tried this recipe and took it in to work. Big mistake, now everyone is begging me to make them all their own individual pecan pies. No one wants to share it including the people who normaly don't eat pecan pie. Make at your own risk! Everyone will want more!
