This is a great basic recipe except you can barely taste the tea. I have to add more tea bags. I put in 8 total. The brew time of 5 minutes is just right as long as you put enough tea in. Don't brew it too long or it can get bitter.

Easy to make...everyone that has tried it loved it. I do agree with one of the reviewers to have the tea bags sit longer than 5 min that way you can taste it. Good for a hot day when you want something refreshing!

I made this recipe tonight, and it turned out great! I have tried multiple times to make good sweet tea and failed, but the first time I made this it turned out wonderfully! My husband is VERY picky about his sweet tea, and he liked it! Thanks so much for a tasty and easy to make recipe!

This recipe is a good baseline. It makes very good sweet tea, and if you like it a bit less sweet, do as another reviewer did, adjust the sugar down a bit. Delicious.

For the longest time I went through a spell where every batch of tea I made tasted like crap. So I look it up online here and this is what I found. I didn't even waste a batch. However I did let the tea bags sit for 15 minutes. Before I could never taste the tea, it used to taste like sugar water...yuck.

Well I am happy with this and I will add this to my book just in case I forget how to make a good batch of tea.

Easy to make and great taste. I actually only use about 3/4 cup of sugar because my husband and I prefer it less sweet.

I LOVE sweet tea. I am pregnant and I have been craving it! I made 2-quarts for myself, with decaf bags, of course! This recipes gets an A+ for taste and easiness.

I recently moved from Charleston, SC to Richmond, VA and missed the Charleston sweet tea. I just tried this recipe and it is very good and easy to make. Thanks

This is exactly how I like my tea...A lot of my friends make their sweet tea with too much sugar...I like a little sugar with my tea not a little tea with my sugar...great recipes...add lemon juice for a very lemony taste
