The bread pudding was wonderful. The bourbon sauce is way too adult for a typical Christmas crowd. This is not a daytime dish.

I made this for my family over Christmas last year and it was a HUGE hit! My in-laws even said it was the BEST they have ever had... requested it again for this year! I have to say, for some reason the bourbon sauce didn't set up right for me. I'm not sure why, maybe I needed to cook it longer. Anyway, it was still delish! Tastes like really good french toast...but better.

Not difficult to prepare. Even people who said they've never liked bread pudding were "over the top" for this pudding and even requesting copies of the recipe. It will be a holiday staple recipe from now on.
