I love nuts and fruit mixed together anyway so this is really a good cookie for me.

I am probably one of the few people who has never tasted fruitcake. I am not a cook either, this recipe was so easy to make. I just whipped it up one evening and they were really good and the cook, WOW, what a charming woman.

I tried making a few other recipes from this episode and none come close to the taste of this one. My two boys helped me make them and we loved eating them even better. To the cook, happy holidays?

I saw the episode of the Food Network last year and I tried the recipe this year. I froze the dough like the recipe suggests about 3 months ago. I baked it for Thanksgiving and all i can say is you go girl. I was truly surprised the cookies tasted good after freezing?

A good idea for a fruitcake recipe to make it a cookie. I am not a fan of walnuts though, so I didn't put them in. You really have to know something about cookin' because this is a delicate recipe, but I love it!!!

Aweeeeeeeeeeeesome recipe and a sexy cook. The cookies baked up nice and chewy with a little crisp. I got the recipe to work on the first try not changing a thing. Koodles to user Helen, I tried it with 1/2 cup shortnening and it worked this way too.

I read the reviews from other people and decided to contact the company to make sure before I prepared this recipe all the stuff was right. Someone from SweetVivian.com contacted me not too long after and said that the shortening in the recipe was printed with a slight typo; it should be 1/2 cup and cold. The dough should be mixed by hand and not with a mixer because the mixer will over work the dough and cause a lot of spreading. Hope this helps, it surely helped me. My family loves these cookies and I am going to make them again this year.
