This is a great recipe! Just made it yesterday with a few edits - made ~1.5 of the recipe and subbed 1 large seeded jalapeno for the chiles, kept it at two chipotle peppers and the heat was just right. I also subbed in fresh roma tomatoes, extra frozen white corn and added a can of cubano style black beans (beans cooked w/ onions, garlic, green chiles. The chili was fab with rice and also stand alone today! I'll be trying it with veggie ground meat next time and expect it to still be excellent. Big thanks Matt!

Amazing! And gluten free! So easy to make after a long day. I added some kidney beans and used a can of green chiles, and knew my kids wouldn't like the chilis in adobo from a previous experience (they're pretty hot but that was the only change. The combination of spices are great, the chili wasn't missing at all, and it was very different from our daily routine. Thanks, Matt Martinez!

Although the chipotle in adobo sauce was not available at the supermarket, this chili (my first experience in making it turned out to be a big success. I almost doubled the amount of vegetables, to make it in bulk. I always find foods served in American restaurants are way too salty, so it was nice to eat comfort food like this without feeling guilty. I meant it to keep it frozen for emergency food, but I know my husband and I will finish the left over tomorrow.

Last but not least, I sprinkled a chopped cilantro on top before serving and it turned out to be a great idea! Thank you so much for this masterpiece recipe!!

I Love this turkey chili!!! I love the corn, the zucchini... the hotness. I did not include any seeds from the adobo peppers---- and added a couple of cans of beans (and doubled the recipe like another reviewer.
I could make this every week!

I like to add a can of kidney beans and chopped mushrooms. I add chili power because the chipotle peppers are tooo hot for me! has a very thick consistency and is an excellent weekend casual dinner. does great in a crock pot!

I made this according to the recipe, but I think I must have gone wrong somewhere, because it was RIDICULOUSLY spicy. Maybe it was the chipotles? I don't typically cook with them. The kids could not eat it, and my husband and I were still huffy down milk even after I added approx. 2c of a cream/milk mix to the chili. And we like spicy food! That being said, we still went back for seconds. The chipotle in adobo sauce gave it a yummy bbq-ish smell/taste.

This recipe is outstanding! Who knew you didn't need to add chili powder?

    My only notes:
Couldn't decide whether to use sweet or hot paprika. I think I used sweet and next time I'll try hot.
Used fresh jalapeno chili for the green chilies (de-veined & de-seeded
Added 1 can of pink beans
Used cayenne pepper instead of black (I only have fresh ground and wasn't going to grind for 5 min
May add additional chili in adobe as for additional kick next time too per previous review.

Even the son liked it. Woo hoo!

The recipe is quick and easy. The chili is colorful and looks very appetizing. My husband, a real beef eater, was shocked at how delicious this chili is.
