this resipe is delicious! I made a change to make it easier. I used 3 chicken breast, 3 boneless pork chops, swansons chicken broth, reg. can corn and reduced the sugar to 2 tbsp. cut the cooking time in 1/2.

This recipe is outstanding!! As a native (eastern north carolinian, I know what Brunswick Stew should taste like. And THIS is it! Sooo yummy! The only change I made was omitting the frozen limas and using a can of green beans instead. Thanks Bob Garner! This is a keeper.

This recipe is awesome! The only thing I did different is I added 1 pkg of frozen whole kernel corn to the recipe. I have shared it with all my friends. My family loves it. The food network chefs ought to taste this. Delicious.

I go by the recipe exactly except for-- I use about 2-2.5 lbs boneless/skinless chicken breasts and about 1-1.5 lb pork loin and cook it in chicken stock, it can't get any better than this.

I made this last night and it seemed to be really sugary compared to the Brunswick stew I've had in the past. My family loved it though! Maybe next time I'll decrease the amount.

This stew was fantastic !! This was our first time making this recipe and it blew Smithfield's chicken and bbq out of the water !!!! A little less sugar and more hot sauce would be nice. We Decided to use skinless boneless chicken breast and cut our time by 2 hours (Keep in mind we used a huge pot over a gas stove we would highly recommend this to anybody.

I'm originally from NC, so this recipe reminds me of home. I also add in chopped pork bar-b-q and a little liquid smoke to really bring out the NC flavors!! I always get compliments, and everyone wants the recipe!

For those you do not like their stew sweet, cut the amount of sugar in half.

I have never been able to get my Brunswick stew to come even close in taste as my grandmother's, but this comes very close! My husband is a very picky eater and even he is eating it and actually took leftovers to work! The only thing I did different was adding a little worcestershire sauce like my grandmom did. Will definitely make again!
