    I followed the instructions of another reviewer and added just a bit of liquid smoke. It definitely made a huge difference! I also added okra and black-eyed peas. It was still a bit sweet for my taste with the sugar and creamed corn. Next time I'll cut back on the sugar. However, I still got rave reviews!!!

    well...not EXACTLY! He made his over an open flame in a huge black cauldron ALL DAY LONG! But a few drops of liquid smoke, some more potatoes, and it's the same effect.

    The only reason this was rated as a 4 is because it is too much for a family of 4. I would like to reduce it and plan to. I0 really love the flavor.
