To Donald Shepard_1, No this NOT the same as the original recipe from the Brown Hotel. Bobby Flay has changed it. This is NOT a Hot Brown. The original recipe does not use whipped cream or mushrooms. Go with the original on the Brown Hotel's site.

I have been making this recipe for several years and it is the bomb!! Very rich and full of calories, but we only have it once a year the day after Thanksgiving. I only make turkey for Thanksgiving so that we can have this with the leftovers. Yum. Don't change a thing..........make exactly as written.

This recipe was a big hit with my in-laws. It looked great on the plate. I used sauteed baby bella mushrooms, turkey bacon instead of regular bacon, and honey wheat toast. I will make this recipe again for future brunch guests. It served 8 guests!

This recipe is IDENTICAL to the original recipe on the Brown Hotel website (where the Hot Brown was invented. Except for the mushrooms and tomato, the rest is 100% the same--down to every last sentence in the method.

Hmmmm. Maybe Bobby should have had a throw-down with the chef from the Brown Hotel instead of these two.

Tastes great, because it's the real thing.

We enjoyed making this hot brown. The sauce was creamy and good. We tailor made them to meet "picky eater tastes", ie. one without bacon another without mushrooms.

this was super easy to make but a little heavy for me.
since this was my first experience with hot browns, i tried one at a restaurant afterwards, and this recipe almost tasted exactly like the one i had at buckhead grill!
if your a hot brown fan, this is great!

Sauce is quick and easy with rich, creamy flavor that is a perfect compliment to turkey, tomato, mushrooms and bacon. I doubled the recipe and it only took about 30 minutes to complete it. I will definetly make this again!
