You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 quart canned red beets and juice
  • 3 pinches mixed pickling spice
  • 12 eggs, hard boiled and peeled

Directions

Mix sugar, salt, cider vinegar, water, 1 cup beet juice, mixed pickling spice, and heat and let simmer for 15 minutes. Add red beets into mixture. Pour over hard boiled, peeled eggs. Refrigerate overnight. Slice in half before serving.

    Wow....this is good. I will add more vinegar the next time but I also like the sweetness from the brown sugar.

    This recipe is out of this world! It is easy, I think the 8 hour cook time is a miss print :- , and the perfect blend of suger and vinegar. I did add a bit more vinegar, however, I like more vinegar then most. I hope if you read this review you will try the recipe out. Its worth it. ENJOY!
