Very good, and very easy. It has become a staple at family holiday dinners. I add a small amount of ground cloves (1/4-1/2 tsp. to this recipe because I love cloves. I also add it to my streusel topping.

This was my first pie I have ever made it was very delicious. It's a really easy pie to make, I just had to make double the topping. My family loves it to death. We had it with some ice cream on the side. The apples where nice and tender and the pears added a different kick to it.

I have made this pie several times. It is always requested at family holidays. I did not make any changes to the receipe other than doubling the struesel topping to make it nice and thick. However, mixing berries in would be an easy and tasty addition.

I have made this recipe several times with apples and strawberries. Great with any fruit. I use a little orange zest with both and added vanilla to the strawberry. I also add chopped pecans to the Streusel topping.

This was my first pie I have ever made it was very delicious. I made it for Thanksgiving and everyone was suprised how delicious it was with the pear and apple combination. I will make it again for Christmas. I recommend it to any one that want to try something new

Really enjoyed making and eating this pie. For me, the filling was enough for two deep dish 9 inch pie crusts, although I had to make twice as much topping. Cinnamon was spot on, I disagree with the other reviewer about adding more. Also would not add oats either-topping tasted great as is. One addition that I will try though is raisens next time. (I cooked both pies at once for 50mins and they turned out perfectly

I really enjoyed this recipe but...... next time I will add some oats to the topping. I think that the streusel would look and taste better with a bit more texture. Either way, give it a try. You won't be dissappointed.

I made this with all pear because I had a bunch and they were going bad. OMG... was this delicious. The pie actually tasted like apple pie, but with better flavoring. I have a secret apple pie recipe that is always requested at functions, but this will now take it's place. As my husband (and pie lover says... "this smokes your other pie!". I cannot wait to make it for the holidays.
