I added a little nutmeg and a little allspice, no added sugar. Loved it! Thanks Gale! Super easy apple sauce.

Overall, this recipe was good. I added some ginger and cloves for more flavor. Also, I added Golden Delicious apples instead of the sugar.

This recipe is super easy! I can't have refined sugar so I used golden delicious apples for a little extra sweetness. I also threw in a pinch of nutmeg when I added the cinnamon. Tastes GREAT!

I use NO sugar and a mix of different types of apples. Also, if you leave some peel on during the cooking, you get a little rosy color. It's easy to remove the peels from the saucepan at the end.

I used fuji apples, and only put in a bit of sugar, and some cinnamon. It's a recipe rave for my family!

Awesome! needs more BROWN sugar in the batch for a mild sweetness. Add 1/4 cup brown sugar during cooking to make a great applesauce!! thanks!

I had decided to make my father (who is diabetic brownies for the holidays since one of my recipies calls for unsweetened applesauce as a sugar/sweetner substitute, which I personally prefer for baking as it is all natural. I chose this recipie because it called for the least amount of added sugar so I thought it would be the easiest to just do without. I added a little more cinnamon and cooked it with the cinnamon and it tastes quite good! I also used a combination of Gala & Rome apples which gave it a little more natural juice.
