Amazing sugar cookie recipe! I made half of the batch with a apple cinnamon sugar sprinkle, which are to die for! The other half I used turbinado sugar- also amazing!! My husband couldn't stop eating this thin, chewy, airy, buttery cookies :

Very good cookie! I made these with self-rising flour in lieu of adding baking soda and baking powder. I added a little more sugar and double the vanilla. The cookies puffed up during baking, but cooled to a thin, chewy, delicate, melt-in-your-mouth, buttery cookie.

First time I have ever made cookies from scratch and they could not have been easier to make. This was a fun afternoon project with my boys and they loved the end product. Thanks for the great recipe!

I LOVE THIS RECIPE it's amazing if you add heavy cream instead of butter milk tastes even better and it doesn't make it too sweet. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!❤

These were very good and turned out perfectly. I made these as part of my Christmas goodie basket for family. I rolled them in red and green decorating sugar to make them "Christmasey." They turned out gorgeous and many people thought these were store bought, roll cookies! Will make again!

I always read the reviews before trying a new recipe. I am so glad there are more positive than negative reviews for this recipe. OMG...these sugar cookies are amazing!!!! I had to change the recipe and they still turned out amazingly delicious. ADD SALT! Other reviewers have also suggested that and it is needed. I used about ½ teaspoon. I also omitted the baking powder because what I had was expired. I didn't have any buttermilk so I used 2% milk (3 tablespoons. I didn't brush any milk on top. Even with the changes the cookies are awesome!!!! Definitely a keeper for my family! Those who posted negative reviews must have done something wrong.

These are absolutely amazing. Perfect recipe. The only issue I have with them is stopping myself from eating too many!

This was very good and easy to make. I came home after a party with my family to see that the two twelve year olds had made these. It is an easy recipe and I loved it.

This was such a easy recipe and it turned out SO great. My husband is fond of the 'soft' cookie and these did not disappoint. Absolutely awesome! Made them over the Xmas holidays and they were a big hit with everyone. Kudos to Linda and thanks for sharing!
