I made these and they were great! I made some plain and I made some with sprinkles, and with the last batch I added coconut. Let me tell you.. They were AMAZING! Try it. Add as much or as little as you'd like.. But I promise you'll love them. Enjoy

I read through several pages of reviews before making these. I try to do that with every recipe I consider to see how people alter/improve, words of wisdom, etc. In this case, I did not have buttermilk on hand but it seemed that it made a difference for some people in the overall taste. So I used half and half in the batter and also added an extra 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and then i squeezed some fresh lemon juice into some half and half to brush on the outside of each cookie prior to baking. I doubled the scoops and did 2 teaspoons worth for each cookie, brushed with the modified half and half, put sprinkles, and baked for a total of 9 minutes. The cookies did not spread too much, kept their rounded shape, taste very good, and have a chewy center just how I like them. I only used about 1/3 of the batter for a dozen cookies so I put the rest in the fridge and will use in the coming days. Definitely recommend this!

These tasted good but were overly buttery tasting to me. Not the standard sugar cookie I was looking for, but great if you want a chewy butter cookie.

First sugar cookies I've made. They were great! used a pinch of salt and next time I would use a little more. Also, because I did not have buttermilk on hand I googled substitutes and used a little lemon juice in my skim milk. Also, I rolled them out and used christmas cutouts, should have done all of one shape at a time because some were crispier than others. All in all, great recipe!

There versatile cookies. You can top with sugar or what I like is roll the dough out in a log then roll in jimmies, or nuts then wrap them put the in the fridge ready to go slice and bake.

Wonderful. I replaced 1 cup white flour with whole grain flour and added 1/4 tsp almond extract and it was the "best sugar cookie I have ever had"-quote from my wife. I used it as the crust to a fruit pizza and WOW. Will use again. Thank you

Very tasty. Tried rolling the dough for some and cutting them with a cookie cutter - worked well if you keep the rolling pin well floured.

Be careful of the cooking time - they will burn quickly.

    Will certainly make again.
