I definitely approve of this recipe. It remained chewy even after cooling off. Definitely follow the recipe. Don't be afraid to add your own ingredients within reason. I added Cinnamon, used two different types of sugars along with stevia (to reduce the amount of sugar necessary; and it still was sweet. I didn't use buttermilk, but I did add a little bit of lemon juice to one of the tablespoons of milk. My family kept asking for more! I didn't want to use any ingredients with artificial colors or anything. Make sure those bottoms don't burn! Watch them closely! Excellent!

This recipe was one of the BEST sugar cookie recipes! I made them one time and instantly will make them for my Christmas party. I used milk instead of buttermilk and they tasted delish!

IF YOU HAVE KIDS HELPING - THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE FOR YOU!! It is really idiot-proof. Just follow the recipe precisely and you will have delicious, easy-to-make sugar cookies in a fraction of the time. I also highly recommend this recipe if you have children helping you because it is easy and fun for their little hands/fingers to manipulate the dough balls, roll into the sugar then flatten them. Even brushing the buttermilk onto the cookies is easy for a very small child with minimal adult aid.

I followed the recipe exactly and I got ADDICTIVE cookies. I never, ever, ever eat so many of my own cookies when baking but these, I simply couldn't resist.

I just made these cookies as an afterschool warm snack for my kids. We couldn't believe how yummy these cookies were. Everything we love about cookies (chewy, moist, soft, good this cookie recipe has it. I've even tried the recipe with a hint of vodka, and other extracts. This is a keeper.....

Wonderful cookies! I just made these and my family loved them! I used Christmas sprinkles and nonpareils and they turned out beautifully. I think they would be especially good as snicker doodle cookies with cinnamon and sugar or with buttercream icing!!!

These cookies are AWESOME!!! Get in the kitchen right now and make a batch! You won't regret it. I didn't have buttermilk on hand so I used milk instead. Only used 2 Tbsp. But overall, this recipe is a keeper and is going straight to my recipe box.
