    I've tried at least half a dozen recipes for pancakes, but they were never quite what I had in mind - not even Nigella Lawson's recipe gave the right flavor and consistency (and her recipes are consistently good. This is a great basic recipe and works with or without the chocolate chips. I'm throwing out the others and memorizing this one!

    I am very pleased with this recipe. I have been using this recipe for months now and the pancakes taste as good now as they did then. These pancakes are good with any kind of syrup and with or without the chocolate chips (though I don't know why you'd want it without them! The recipe is simple so get to it and enjoy!
