    I halved this recipe and put into an 8x4 heavy-duty aluminum loaf pan. It took the same amt of time to cook as using the full recipe b/c depth of cake is the same. I got the inspiration of the loaf pan from a recipe by Melissa D'Arabian, but this one had the magic touch for me. I look forward to making Gale's other versions, tangerine, b/c I have tangerine extract I can use to bump up the flavor.

    This recipe was very good. I would NOT use a box mix as asked...This recipe was perfect as written. It was the best angel food cake i have had.

    This recipe looks great for my next party, but I'm kind of short of time, do you think it will have the same taste if I used the mix from a box? Just add the ingridients that give the coffe flavor and the glaze?

    I made this cake for my mother in laws birthday (very weight conscious and everyone loved it, including her and my husbands. Served it with vanilla frozen yogurt and whipped cream, chocoalte sauce. Tastes great and not like a 'low fat' dessert, which I usually don't even bother with.

    I have made this cake several times. I think its the best angel food cake that I have eaten. Love the show. Wish she was on more and in the afternoon.
