This was my first time making these biscuits, and I had my reservations after reading the recipe. This is an absolute awesome recipe. The have flavor, texture and moisture. I have tried other recipes and they are very bland, not these.. I am going to attempt to make these with cheddar and crumbled bacon.

These buttermilk biscuits are just as easy as one, two, three. They are sinfully wonderful to eat hot or warmed the next day. I've increased the sugar and added lemon zest to them for a dessert topping on a blueberry cobbler topper. Try it you might like it!

I thought I would have a mess on my hands and went into this expecting the worst....and please note, I am NO baker...WOW...these were the best biscuits I have ever made. Only used half the sugar, but everything else was just as the recipe called for. Tender, tasty, and the flavor gets fuller the next day. Definitely one to try out.

I've made these biscuits twice now, and both times wound up with a sticky mess and dough hands. The first time I made them, I thought I must have messed up on a step, because the dough was so runny. Even after tossing scoops of dough with flour, it was too much of a runny mess to form into any kind of biscuit shape. I wound up scraping it back into the bowl and mixing enough flour in to make the dough thick enough to form biscuits. They didn't turn out spectacularly, but they had a good flavor and I figured they'd be worth making again if I could be careful and follow the recipe exactly. So I tried again yesterday, following the recipe to the letter, and it was the same disaster all over again. Obviously I did something wrong, although I can't imagine what, and I'm very jealous of all these people who have had such great results with these biscuits, because they sound delicious!

These biscuits are far better and more moist than any buttermilk biscuits I've made before, and I like the fact that they don't need to be rolled out and cut. They're easy to put together when time is short.

Mmmm, these are great biscuits! They're so moist & dense, yet fluffy. I used half the sugar called for (1 Tbsp. instead of 2 and they turned out faintly sweet, so I wouldn't use all the sugar the original recipe states. The flavor's a little lacking compared to other buttermilk biscuits I've had-- maybe I just need to increase the salt to 3/4 tsp.? But yummay! I'm going to be making these over & over again. They're so easy to booot!

When I served it freshh from the oven (as called for by the recipe, it was a little too moist and cake like. My Southern in-laws were not that thrilled with it: they felt it was bland tasting. The next couple of days, however, they were wonderful. They didn't go stale, but instead became these wonderfully flaky and soft.

These biscuits are the ultimate in tenderness. I've never eaten alot of biscuits as they tend to be too dry. Not these!!!! Yummm
