I too am one of the cheaters, I used a ready roll out crust, but what a pie. The lemon is really tasty, firm not runny and the meringue just perfect. Do try this, it is an easy desert and makes you look like a million.

You really can't go wrong with this recipe. I have a busy toddler, so I don't have a lot of time to bake. I have made this pie at least a dozen times, and it ALWAYS turns out great - rave reviews from everyone. I'm making it again today for Easter dinner tomorrow. Tip - save time by baking a ready-made crust, and you'll still get the benefit of a delicious custard and meringue.

This was really runny and very embarrassing. Do NOT run the risk of using this recipe and wasting your time! Try another!

I made this for my husband and he loved it. I even ate a piece, and I am not usually one to eat pies, and I loved it. I will probably go back for more today. Oh, and it was pretty easy to make too.

The ingredients for this pie crust make enough for 2 crusts and refer to shaping dough into "2 disks" yet there is never any later reference as to what to do with the second crust. Lemon meringue pies don't have 2 crusts, typically. also be careful cooking sugar for meringue--don't over cook! tip: suggest using emerils basic pie crust and alton's lemon and meringue for easier and better results!

The crust is very delicious, tender and a great compliment to the lemon pudding. The meringue was beautiful. The presentation was fabulous.
