I baked them for exactly 10 minutes and they came out perfectly! Soft in the center, which is just the way I like it. However I did make them with mini m&m's instead of mini chocolate chips, but still added the same amount, 1/2 cup. For my taste this wasn't quite enough chocolate, so next time I'll probably up it to 3/4 - 1 cup of mini m&m's, but this recipe was really good, and will become one of my go-to recipes for taking cookies anywhere.

This is generally a great recipe. I made the muffins in regular size tins. Filled to the top, that makes a dozen large muffins. The first time I made them the muffins were a bit dry and not as flavorful as I'd like. So, I added about 1 tablespoons of oil and 1 teaspoon of salt to the peanut butter mixture. I also added a couple of teaspoons of cinnamon to the flour mixture. Baked for exactly 20 minutes in my gas oven. Perfect! Also, if you cut em open and add a little butter, its even better.

Yes, this recipe sounds tasty. Yes, the batter is delicious. But the muffins themselves leave much to be desired. Forget creamy, peanut butter goodness, and think about how it feels to swallow when peanut butter is stuck to the roof of your mouth. Ick. I even tried adding vanilla, as one fellow user suggested, and added a bit more salt. Even so, the muffins were pretty bland.

That said, my coworkers did eat all 30 of them. However, I think this has more to do with their deprivation of home-baked goods, than the quality of these muffins.

Not sure what it was, but even when I tasted the batter..it was missing something. However it baked well and was moist.

I normally love Gale Gand's recipes, so when the results came out awful the first time around, I made the recipe again, thinking "surely I had made some mistake." Nope, it really is a poor recipe. The muffins don't taste sweet, not even a little, and the peanut butter almost makes it more bland, and hard to swallow. Sorry Gale!

I did not like these. They weren't terrible, but they definitely aren't worth the calories or the ingredients. The batter had the consistency of glue, and the finished product was pretty flavorless. I will not make these again.
