I didn't read the reviews before I made it. When I checked on it in 30mins it was all soggy.....not impressed with the recipe.

Overall this was a quick, easy & good recipe, however I find there is very little flavor in pears. I would make this next time with a stronger flavored fruit. I had raisins on hand, so I used them instead of cranberries. I melted the butter as well & the amounts were good & stayed crisp. Spoon some of this warm, over ice cream as we did, & it will please your comfort zone....would be impressive for guests also.

This is yummy, even though I reduced the butter by 1/2, and the sugar by a little. This recipe definitely doesn't need all that butter! Will make again!

My family loves this with vanilla ice cream or a little half/half. The topping is not as dry as you would expect - just cook it longer or cut down on the butter. I sometimes double the topping because that is my favorite part. The fruit combo is awesome. If I am out of cranberries I use raisins.

This was pretty good, although I used too many cranberries and they were kind of sour. Besides that it was really tasty and not soggy at all.

I think the measurements of this recipe are off. Way too much butter, makes the "crust" soggy. It's supposed to be crumbly, not like a cobbler. Also the butter should'nt be melted. It should be worked in cold. Very dissapointed.

This recipe is so out of the ordinary and worth trying. When you make it, the wonderful aroma of the pears and brown sugar just fill your entire kitchen. When you taste this recipe you will want to eat more and more and more of it. Because.....it's just that good!
