Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. Perfect buttercream frosting. I used this on Alton Brown's Chiffon Cupcakes and it was perfect. Very easy recipe and comes together in no time. This amount frosted about 15 cupcakes.

This recipe was easy, but I didn't love it. I used confectioner's sugar and it gave the frosting a very coarse texture. I think subbing the confectioner's sugar for baker's sugar would have given the frosting a smoother finish. My frosting also came out yellow in color (from the butter and I wasn't crazy about that, either. The taste is okay. I guess it's better than store bought frosting. If I were to try again I'd definitely substitute the confectioner's sugar for baker's sugar and sift the sugar, too.

Loved this. I have made 200 cupcakes for a graduation and 300 for a wedding often using fancy, complicated frostings ala Martha Stewart. This is the most delicious, easy buttercream ever. Only changes - which would have been fine to follow recipe as is - was to use white vanilla and almond extracts. And instead of cream (didn't have any used coffee creamer - in this case Creme Brulee. It was divine!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. It is my favorite. I made 168 cupcakes for a party and it was a huge hit. I had none left, everyone wanted to take them home. It is so fast and easy and tasty. I use salted butter. I made a batch with unsalted and it was not as good. This recipe will forever be a staple for my frosting needs. Love It!!

It was easy and fabulous. I don't understand other "buttercream" icing recipes that use shortening. Those should be vanilla shortening recipes. This is a great recipe!

great recipe, really fast and easy. I did soften the butter in the micro first. I'm not sure why the directions don't tell you to do that. It made a good amount of frosting. I generously frosted 30 cupcakes with it.

This is the best buttercream frosting I have ever made! It is the right balance of smooth, creamy and not overly sweet. I made it for my wacky chocolate cupcakes (which I add a little coffee and khalua to and it was a perfect match. It also held up it's shape nicely with decorative frosting.
