excellent. Very first time making frosting and it tastes great. Texture was smooth and spreadable. Didn't take long to make at all.

This is the best buttercream frosting I have ever made! It is the right balance of smooth, creamy and not overly sweet. I made it for my wacky chocolate cupcakes (which I add a little coffee and khalua to and it was a perfect match. It also held up it's shape nicely with decorative frosting.

I just made this recipe and it was a HUGE hit in my house! My husband typically dislikes frosting and I don't like cake without frosting. It was a perfect blend of the creamy that I like with the touch of sweetness but not overly sweet for my husband.

HI THIS IS A WONDERFUL PERFECT BUTTERCREAM RECIPE-IT'S SO HARD TO FIND ONE WITHOUT THE AWFUL CRISCO IN IT. I'VE USED THIS SEVERAL TIMES AND IT'S PROBABLT GOING TO BE MY FAVORITE VANILLA BUTTERCREAM RECIPE.I HAVE ONE QUESTION THOUGH,HAVE ANY OF YOU USED THIS TO MAKE DECORATIVE FLOWER'S BORDER'S ETC. IF YOU HAVE PLEASE LETT ME KNOW. I'M NOT SURE IT WOULD BE STIFF ENOUGH. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE A GREAT RECIPE FOR A FROSTING FOR FLOWER MAKING (WITHOUT CRISCO-I HATE THAT STUFF-YOU MAKE A GREAT CAKE WITH GREAT INGREDIANTS AND THEN TOP IT OF WITH GREASE! HELP! THANKS,JOAN

LOVED this recipe! Easy and quick. I normally make Italian Buttercream. I did a slight alteration by adding a dash of salt, a tspn of meringue powder, and about 1/2 CUP of cream. By using this modification your frosting will be SUPER smooth and not so sweet. Use UNsalted butter.

Great tasting frosting and definitely holds up well when used to decorate a cake. I used this frosting to decorate a cake for my sons 3rd birthday. I made a dinosaur cake because that's what he wanted: everybody loved it! Also, I used Nonsalted butter. Definitely would use this recipe again!

Super easy and so yummy! I used it for cupcakes and it's smooth but very sturdy! It holds up for a long period of time and dosent melt off! Easy to color and consistency does not change with the added food color. Best frosting ever, look forward to experimenting with different flavored!
