This is the best tiramisu I have ever had. Like others, I did not use the gelatin. I have made this multiple times and it comes out fabulous!!

If I could give this 6 stars, I would! I lived in Italy for 2 years and brought a tiramisu recipe back with me...but this is hands down the best tiramisu I have ever eaten anywhere! Amazing! I use Amaretto instead of Kahlua, and I do NOT use the gelatin and water, as recommended by another reviewer. The recipe can be halved beautifully and fits into a 7x11 pan (using 2 containers of Mascarpone. Trader Joe's carries Mascarpone for more reasonable prices than most groceries, and I have always used their brand with excellent results. I have trouble finding the lady finger cookies, but I ordered them through amazon recently...so that I can keep making this fabulous Tiramisu!! Buon Appetito!!

Just ok. I do think 1/2 cup of Kalhlua is too much and overpowers the other flavors, even with a very quick dip of the lady fingers.

Do not do use the gelatin! I can't stress enough. Is a totally useless step and had disastrous results--awful lumps. My dish is inedible because of it, after all that work and expensive ingredients. Otherwise, it'd be delicious.

Wow, this was, for me, a lot of work ~ but so totally worth it! Very filling and delicious dessert, and the sweet, fluffy mascarpone pudding, like heaven in a bite. Thank you, Ms. Gand, for the excellent recipe : ~ Brian K.

This recipe came out amazing! I too substituted vanilla wafers for ladyfingers, as I could not find them anywhere! I used the instant espresso which worked out great and was a lot cheaper than buying espresso from a coffee shop! I left out the gelatin as well b/c the reviews scared me! I also didn't have an 8x10 inch pan so I used a large glass trifle dish, it worked great and looked pretty! Next time I am going to try cream cheese instead of marscapone to try and save a few dollars : otherwise, this was simple and oh so yummy!!
