What kind of chocolate do you use for the shavings?

I love tiramisu and have had it in restaurants in the US and Italy as well as made many recipes myself. This recipe is exceptional one of the best that I have ever had. But, make sure and have everything made before you add the gelatin into the egg whites and then into the yolk/sugar mixture or it will firm-up and become lumpy.

This is one of the only recepies that one can prepare at home, (when using the Best Ingredients that most reminds me of Europe in taste, lightness and presentation. Indeed a special treat for us Europeans.

It was the hit of the dinner party! Be prepared with all your mixing bowls, but it is well worth taking over all your counter space for this one. It's definitely a new favorite recipe for me and my family!

I make this for holidays and special occasions only, as the ingredients are difficult (and expensive to obtain. But, it is always worth it! I have had tiramisu in several restaurants, and my dining companions agree, the one I make is 100% better than the restaurant offering. It also like this with bakeries. My husband is spoiled for this, and won't eat another tiramisu.

it is the best tiramisu, that u will ever eat. i avoided the use of alcohol because some of my friends were pregnent. when ever i make this tiramisu, people just love it.
the only problem with this is, everyone asks me to make tiramisu for every party and it is kind of expensive to make every week.
