It was too many ingredients, I found the rolls to be nice and tasty, it was a little pricey but it was worth it....

I made this for a weekend lunch with family and friends. I asked my husband to pick up 4 lobster from Chelsea Market in NYC and they were not cheap! I wasted time, money and four good lobsters. It was really awful. I read a few comments after I made this and agree that it was too many ingredients; just Hellmann's and butter would have been fine. I suppose you just should not mess with a classic.

I don't understand why you reviewers were surprised that it wasn't good. Being from Maine, I knew that it was NOT a lobstah roll, so I did not waste good lobstah making this. Lobstah rolls are fabulous because of their simplicity. I can't use mayo because I am allergic to it, but lobstah rolls are great with melted butter. To be very fair to Mr. Zakarian, I will try this recipe once.

Born and raised in Connecticut on Long Island Sound, I did not care for this recipe, and neither did my guests from the Midwest. This is an interesting version, but, NOT a true East Coast lobster roll. When making a Maine lobster roll, you don't want to add much except a little Hellmann's mayonnaise to a toasted and buttered lobster bun, a few drops of lemon, and a lot of lobster dipped in real butter. I like a pinch of cayenne. But, adding anything else makes it lobster salad, not a true lobster roll. Remember, fresh Maine lobster has a delicate flavor and you don't want to mask it.

Waste of good lobster - looks more like somebody is trying to impress with fancy ingredients than eating a good lobster roll

Don't waste your time and your lobster with this recipe. A real lobster roll has big chunks of a freshly picked Maine lobster with just a little real mayo with no other added ingredients other than an optional squeeze of fresh lemon. Don't mess with perfection. See Maine's Lobster Shack recipe on this site for authentic lobster rolls.

Pretty good way to totally ruin a lobster. Way too much of everything for a very poor result. I should have just thrown my lobster back in the ocean and not wasted it's life for this, you should be ashamed for publishing this recipe.
